Marija Gradec Bridge
The new bridge across the Savinja river will relieve traffic throug the old town.

The bridge construction is a frame that consists of reinforced concrete intermediate support and prestressed reinforced concrete beam with a box-like cross-section with variable construction height from 2.60 m on both supports to 4.6 m on the intermediate pillar outside the main riverbed. This change enables single-sided rise of the level, since the lower construction edge is limited by a safety height above the high water. The support is a 2 m thick, hydraulically shaped reinforced concrete pillar. Foundations are looked at as deep foundations on eight pillars with a 150 cm diameter that was selected to prevent eventual erosion, and on edge supports due to deeper carrier layers. The pillar lengths are from 11 to 14 m, and all are embedded into the carrier layer of sandstone.
