The importance of sticking together
This is the motto of the Kolektor Group's laboratory, or more precisely Department for quality, development and chemical laboratory located in the Research and Marketing Center in Idrija. Chemical laboratory provides support and services in the field of laboratory measurements and tests of products and semi-finished products, gauge management, testing and analysis of incoming materials for all Kolektor companies in Slovenia and abroad.
In the Department for quality, development and chemical laboratory, Tatjana Berce Alič and Metka Primožič perform special tests on strategic materials.
The latter took part in the course program at the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Technology and Advanced Materials IFAM in Bremen, Germany, and has acquired the certificate and was awarded the title European Adhesive Specialist – EAS.
"With this specialization, I have acquired great knowledge in the field of rapidly developing adhesives - there are thousands of them and with a number of additives, this number is just growing further. Often the characteristics are changed to the level where they can be compared to fluid liquids and modern modified materials," explains Primožič. "Acquiring the certificate and the title European Adhesive Specialist - EAS is not only my personal achievement, it is an achievement also for Kolektor and its employees, who will need such knowledge in developing new products or improving the existing ones. Knowledge must be shared!"
